This video gives an overview of Kentucky agriculture - past, present, and future. From pre-colonization to today, we provide a glimpse of how Kentucky farmers work the land to raise food and natural resources. We have included interviews with the Ragland family, who has been farming in Kentucky since the early 1800s, the same time Abraham Lincoln's family moved into the area; Will Bowling, a young farmer in eastern Kentucky; Jon Bednarski, an Oldham County farmer recognized for his conservation efforts; and Warren Beeler with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, explains how everyone works together for farming success.
