As part of my "real education in 2015" initiative, I recently took a trip to go visit The Urban Farming Guys, out in Kansas City. While there, I got to see first hand some of the cool stuff that they're doing with: solar power, aquaponics, food production, composting, community gardens and more. If you like what you see here, check out the Urban Farming Guys YouTube channel for more! https://www.youtube.com/user/TheUrbanFarmingGuys Official Website: http://TheDailyPrep.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/TheDailyPrep Twitter: https://twitter.com/DailyPrepDan

wow, what a GREAT idea, I wish more people would do this in urban area's. Detroit could really use this, but I dont know about the danger of it there, it could be a bad thing for a white person, I stay away from that city now. I think it work in a city like Ypsilanti Michigan, they aren't so 'wild' there, and I think residents would respect these farming area's and not abuse them.

Sorry I missed out on meeting you. I'm driving from N.C. to visit UFG the end of September. I'm so excited because it has been on my list to visit them for years and the time is almost at hand!

Sweet garden, that is some food

Nice to see a positive story like this at a time when so many stories are about local governments banning rainwater collection and chicken keeping, while also requiring lawns not gardens.

I was a huge fan of the Urban Farm guys when they first got started. Now all I see is them begging for money and not fulfilling their promises to teach their methods.
They may be a great source for their local communities.... But if they don't share that info outside of their world, they can get money from their own community and stop asking us for it.
may i ask a question. at minute 3.20 you divided the land, why don't you use all of the ground instead of dividing it ? the box shaped
