It was especially gratifying, and a little serendipitous, to have met Marco and Stephanie, and ultimately photograph their wedding. Not only are they both alum of my alma mater, Merrimack College, but like me and my wife, they met while going to school there. I definitely had the advantage when it came down to who was going to be there wedding photographer. And since their relationship began on campus, what better place for them to start their lives as husband and wife. And while the high vaulted ceilings and dim lighting of the Merrimack Collegiate Church can pose a problem for some photographers, I saw it as an opportunity to create dramatic images that captured the sanctity of the space and ceremony. After Marco and Stephanie exchanged vows and their first kiss as husband and wife, it was a quick trip around campus to capture some of the scenery significant to the couples history. It was then on to the Renaissance Golf Club where were able to get all of the family and bridal party formals before the rain, which had held off all day, finally made an appearance. It was an amazing day spent with a fun couple who have become more like friends than clients.
