John Mellencamp performs "Cherry Bomb" at the Farm Aid concert in Raleigh, NC on September 13, 2014. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001. For more information about Farm Aid, visit: http://farmaid.org/youtube Farm Aid's performances are donated by the artists in order to raise funds and raise awareness for family farmers. They've raised their voices to help — what can you do?

Raleigh looks to have been a great show. Gotta get me some of that real (vinegar-based) BBQ. worked and visited there probably 15 years ago and experienced the best hospitality ever, even though I am native Californian! Blessings, Ed<><

I saw John in 1997 here in San Diego, CA -- I was 19 at the time and I was stoked to see him live! Although most people my age had no idea who he was it was the best concert EVER!!! I heart JM!

It's impossible to enjoy a music video, with the vastly inferior service from HUGHESNET!

A real American hero. John is as real today as he was in 1975. Long live Mellencamp. Even if he is a Hoosier.
