How do those greenhouse crops get pollinated I wonder?? Very interesting vid!
-
Geothermal heating for spring?
-
Thanks for sharing. What kind/size of water bags are you using in the top flat as weight for the micros? Nice idea.

What an operation!

Hi Curtis, with the Pex tubing, I'm assuming they've calculated optimum depth so that the tubes are not too deep that the heat doesn't reach the roots and not too shallow that they could be damaged by tools. What is in the tubes - is it water or a chemical? Have you ever heard of the same thing being done with warm air, recycled from the tunnel during the day? Wondering how those tomato plants get dropped down and spiralled without snapping the stems. Will try to find a supplier of Tomahooks in the UK but only found them in the US so far.

Thanks for all you are doing sharing your experience! I have a question: I watch many speeches of JMF on youtube and he is always saying that by the end of summer his costumers are fed up with tomatoes! so why extending the season at an expensive cost? thanks a lot.

great to see a snippet of what's happening on this farm👍. I was talking to a regular agribusiness farmer recently. He has a dvd of a venture his father started some years ago, here on the east coast of Scotland. He put 10 acres under glass, next to the then newly built coal fired power station. He wanted to run welded scaffold pipes under his beds, and use the excess steam from the station to heat them. Unfortunately the power company declined his proposal. Smart thinking I thought

Thank you for uploading

Wow Bro... I'm really Impressed!! The Buried PEX Fascinates me. I assume a boiler or hot water heater and a recirculating pump? Much like Soil Warning Cables but much more efficient!
The Lower and Lean is my favorite because the tops stay within normal reach and prune all the leaves of the vines.. it's amazing how long they get in a season with indeterminate varieties and 20' vines lol!
Rock On.. This is Incredible -
I don't understand why they had next to nothing at the market today

Awesome work Curtis. Thanks for sharing.

Curtis, Thank you for this. Really hope JM puts this new endeavor in book form.
-
i would be curious to know what you or jm would consider your most valuable revenue streams? Such as Farmers markets, restaurant, grocer, csa ect.

Looks like JM's farm became pretty big. Looks amazing though.
Not trying to talk shit - just something thats been on my mind.
