Listen to the Podcast on the go via iTunes: http://bit.ly/ValhallaPodcastiTunes Jean-Martin Fortier (JM) is an absolute superhero in my books. He has transformed a 1.5 acre piece of land into a market garden that provides for hundreds of families in less than an hours drive from my home town and he is doing it in an all organic - all by hand (or small power tools) kind of way. No tractors - no huge investments - just sound systematic gardening practices - a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears in order to make some of the freshest farm to table food you could possibly imagine. Now not only has he done such in the cold Canadian climate but he is also providing jobs - allowing interns and literally wrote the book on how you could do this too. "The Market Gardener" - A Successful Grower's Handbook for Small-Scale Organic Farming" is a #1 best seller on Amazon in its category and an absolutely awesome guide for anyone diving into the organic farming world. It's more than the internet spreading ideas. I think there is a true desire for people to DO something real again, to work with their hands. Also there aren't that many good paying jobs to strive for anymore, so we are compelled to create our own scene.

Without tree-hugging, the public wouldn't have learned about deforestation. I don't think you'd be here doing what you are doing. It's all part of this growth process of taking back the world from power.
I'm really impressed with Jean-Martin, very glad to hear that people really are getting serious about food production. -
Loved the content, but the bass is turned up way too high on the intro and outro.
