Interesting. Limousin crossed extremely well with North American cattle because of the udder quality and medium size calves. All the big money went to montrous Simmental, Charolais, and Maine-Anjou in the 70's and these breeds were just too big for N. A. range cattle. Quietly, Limousin came along and built a tremendous base.

they are real nice cows. I presume they average out at 15 gallons a day
