Mercy For Animals investigators have again gone undercover behind closed doors to shed light on the inherent cruelties of battery cage facilities. The investigation began in December, 2002 after Weaver Brothers Egg Farm, located in Versailles, Ohio, failed to respond to a certified letter requesting a tour and expressing concern over the farm's treatment of hens. Following stringent industry-guideline biosecurity measures, and armed with video and photo equipment, MFA investigators made nighttime visits to the factory documenting case after case of animal neglect and abuse.

We Cant Believe We The Human Race Can Treat Such Peaceful & Harmless Creatures Like Dirt On The Bottom Of Our Shoes But We Still Buy They're Food :\ Dont Get Me Wrong Im REPULSED That Our Generation Is Doing Such Harmful Things To These Animals ! But We Need Our Everyday Things Like Milk, Eggs, Beef, Pork, Bacon etc. etc. We Know what they're doing yet WE STILL BUY IT .

If farmers are going to keep chickens in cages for eggs at least build them a home to lay their eggs in nests and feed them so they can produce more eggs so they can become plucky and strong to survive twice as its life span.

love that chicken mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

One of the ways we can stop the inhumane cruel brutality and torture to these beautiful animals is to consume less meat, dairy, eggs. I realize ppl will never stop eating meat, but if we could cut back 2 jst a couple x's per wk, these animals stand a better chance. So much cruelty around the wrld but not limited to farming animals. This is why I don't go to circuses, rodeos and any place they make animals do tricks. I'd much rather watch in their natural enviro or on tv being filmed.
-
Consuming meat is not an evil as some would suggest, but treating animals in this way is totally unexceptable. Problem is greed and a culture of overconsuming. Animals have feelings, this is a fact but does a man who is protected by law and raking in money while people grow fat eating too much really care? Im for eating meat because we also have a role to play in the natural balance but these practises need to change.
-
I love eating meat and eggs but I don't think this is the right way to get them.

Simple solution, when you buy eggs buy nothing but organic, free range eggs. They cost about 3-4x as much (about $4/dozen) but if everyone purchased them, these factories would close. Problem is people love to complain but when they go to the store and vote they look for the cheapest eggs. Those of you complaining and then not buying organic, free range eggs, shut the hell up as you are the reason for these factories.

just another part of the life cycle. shit like this needs to happen to keep the balance. although i do agree that it is fucked up and theres alot of torture like action being involved. it does make me sad but i accept it because we are all cruel in some way
-
here grows my hate for humanity a bit more, keep in mind that this is not just animal cruelty, because of this there are so many diseases out there, the idiots who do this are responsible for unhealthy products that lead to peoples deaths, i would make a slave camp just for these kinds of people, so they would see the suffering of these animals on their own bodies
