Over 2 million dogs are killed for their meat every year in South Korea. Estimated to be a $2 billion industry, dog meat is most commonly eaten during the hot summer months in a spicy stew called “Boshintang." On a recent visit to South Korea, we went inside two farms where dogs would either be sold off as meat or to illegal dog fighting rings. We also spoke with the farmers to get their perspectives on the controversial dog meat and dog fighting trades. Here's what it's like inside dog farms in South Korea.
