A documentary by Jeff Imig. Brutal exploitation of farmworkers, including slavery and indentured servitude, continues to plague thousands in the fields and groves of south Florida. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers struggles to build solidarity and fight back against the abuses. Immokalee shows this struggle and examines how the Coalition has been so successful through its three-pronged effort of organizing in the fields, education and broad community solidarity.

Exploitation of Fieldworkers needs to stop . These poor people do backbreaking work .While we sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labor .Always remember if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be able to buy our fruits and veggies at the prices we do and quantity .

Ignore and forgive poor W Gaston because he is full of hate. Our Latino, Hispanic, Spanish speaking parents taught us that when any person is so poorly educated and ignorant we should help them and educate them, even feed them when they are hungry, whether for food or knowledge.
We are of a proud Nahuatl/Spanish ancestry and have suffered a lot but have never lost our moral values. American whites, some are compassionate to our cause some are not. Just like some Mexicans are good and some bad. Focus on people not race, creed, color, nationality, religion, gender, or sexual preference -
Stop making fun of us Mexican fucker

Why do you shmucks call yourselves Latinos? You Brown, Spanish-speaking people, predominantly Mexicans I'm sure, are of Aztec or some other Aboriginal American ancestry! The only thing Latino (Latin) about the majority of you morons is your freakin language or name! For you "Indians" to call yourselves Latino makes about as much sense as Brown (falsely called Red skins) USA Aboriginal Americans on reservations calling themselves Teutonic because they speak English -- a Teutonic language, and many with British names too! Y'all don't even call yourselves Latinos until you come here to the USA! Not all of us are as dumb as you think! Some of us, like me, see through your bullshit! Do you think that because you're from Mexico, Guatamala, El Salvador, Honduras, or Panama, that you can't be White or Black? All of those countries have both White and Black people! Not all Latin Americans are Brown! Why do you Brown and Black Latin Americans think you speak Spanish mostly, and mostly have Spanish names? I'll tell gou why! It's because the Spaniards, who are White, colonized y'all and Hispanicized and enslaved you, that's why! And besides! How many of you complainers are even legal American citizens vs. illegal wetbacks?

the only choice is to do it people like you don't know/understand what it means to work in agriculture
-
It Seems Like The Only Choice Is Work. Think About It ... No Work -> No Money -> No Power For House -> No Home At All . Plus Some May Have Family To Maintain So That s Why They Have To Work Their Butts Off
