http://www.deepakchitnis.net/how-to-setup-install-sharepoint-server-2010-in-2-tier-configuration.aspx Installing Sharepoint Server 2010 is easy for a single server installation. For a 2-tier installation things do get a little tricky. But all of the installation can be accomplished in about 30 minutes if you have the major pre-requisites installed.

The Title of the video says: "How to Setup/Install Sharepoint Server 2010 in 2 tier configuration" and surprisingly, you have "Install Sharepoint Server" as a pre-requisite. Could you kindly also show the "Installation Steps" for installing Sharepoint Server on a Windows Server Machine?!.. That would have been far more helpful than this.. or maybe you could change the title of this video.

Hi Deepak. It is a great help for those who just started Sharepoint like me. I am very impressed with this video. I want to ask if we can use SQL 2012 as Database?
-
Thank you; very clear instruction!

your video is great....i have two questions....do you have to install sharepoint server on both machines...2nd question...the database name and database server account you used in this video do they belong to the other machine(can the second machine be a windows 7 desktop with sql server installed)

Hi, I installed SQL 2008 and Sharepoint 2010, I try to follow your steps but in the Specify Configuration Database Settings I have some error: Cannot connect to database master at SQL server at (database server name). The database might not exists, or the current user does not have permission to connect it. I used an administrator user. Can you help me find the solution.
