We had 93 acres about 9 years ago in north East Kansas. We had to move because my dad worked for the Feds. He sold it for 900 an acre. The guy who bought it is trying to sell 40 acres of the 93 for 300,000 now. Why has land gone up so much. I really want to know from someone who knows about land. Hope y'all can answer my question. I'm wanting to buy some land with my dad but I feel like the way price of land going it's not going to happen. Only rich people and big wig hunters are able to buy land anymore.
CRP areas seldom grow enough habitat for regular deer use and are mainly for waterfowl. Our best hope is for the land price balloon to burst. Part of that balloon is also the government's approach to over taxing "recreational land".
Public land you might suggest? Here in WI public land is a kin to walking on the backs of alligators to cross a pond. When the forest isn't saturated with "brown its down tag fillers" it's probably just been driven out for the um-teenth time. In some areas there isn't even a squirrel left to amuse you during your long hours of not seeing any deer.
