Gypsy Gold is the home of North America's first Gypsy Vanner Horses. Dennis Thompson and his late wife Cindy founded the worlds first registry for a selectively bred horse developed by Gypsies, The Gypsy Vanner Horse Society. They devoted four years to understanding the Vanner breed before importing the first to Vanner Horses November 24th 1996. A two hour tour of Gypsy Gold includes a better understanding of one of the worlds most colorful, least understood societies and the horses they envisioned soon after World War II. Dennis Thompson conducts the tour and introduces you to some of America's first and most famous Gypsy Vanner Horses.
