Nick Carter and chef Jeremiah Clark of Plum's Upper Room take a trip to visit local farmer LaVonne Armes of Heritage Hills Farm to see her rabbit operation and family farm outside Indianapolis, IN. As Meat the Rabbit's first member farm, Heritage Hills is leading the way bringing rabbit meat from farm-to-table. http://www.meattherabbit.com/

I applaud your love of rabbits. I raise 3 does/1 buck and my family loves rabbit meat. Like most backyard rabbitries my rabbits are treated well, healthy and happy.
-
Man, I wish that we did not kill animals for food. Every living thing deserves to live a full and happy life.
-
You shouldn't be eating rabbits you stupid fuck!

aww how could you kill something so cute and soft and sweet!! haha naw wtf? thats like saying its okay to rape ugly folks but not pretty ones. why dont ppl take up for pigs as much as they do rabbits? pigs are smarter then dogs, no one cares. rabbit is healthy for us yall, it taste great, very cheap to raise, they helped get our ancestors through the depression. but you go ahead and keep eating that shit from the grocery store. im going out to feed my bunnies some fresh grasses and veggies, give them some alfalfa treats and them im killing some for dinner tomorrow. kiss kiss, wack wack, yum yum.

they sure look like they are loved and cared well for... disgusting.

Disgusting conditions that these rabbits are kept in. Nowhere to hide or nest, nowhere to exercise, nowhere to go to the toilet and eat their faecal pellets, wire floor that will give them sore hocks, nowhere to interact with each other and groom each other, no hayracks and a multitude of basic requirements that are not being met. I'm a vegetarian anyway but if I ate meat I would never buy meat from a farm like this.

let the rabbits go and go kill yourself

I would not eat from this guy's restaurant. The animals are housed in such filthy, squalid conditions which breeds disease and drug resistance bacteria. I can only imagine the eye burning stench of ammonia in the summer's heat. Oh boy, this guy seriously needs to take a class in marketing because by showing this video. His restaurant will be forever associated with this filthy sewer-of-a-farm.

This is gross, they need a bit of fucking space. Also the cage bottoms are so bad for their feet :(

i have serious issues with the conditions that the animals are kept, and this will be reflected in the taste, i would not eat meat sourced from this farm

Everything eats rabbits, you have to protect them. What you want to make sure of is that there is a wooden block or plastic coated wire for them to rest on.
-
Yes, there has to be a better way.
-
Holy moly
-
There is. But most people leave them in cages because it is easier. Most people have a better set up.
