Farms: Hemp Farming in Kentucky

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Kentucky will have a hemp crop this year according to Kentucky Agricultural Commissioner James Comer. Comer says industrial hemp will make a comeback, if congress finishes work on a farm bill that includes hemp language. Once the federal government gives approval, the commonwealth will issue licenses to farmers wanting to grow the crop. Hemp was banned decades ago when it was classified as a controlled substance related to marijuana.
