You talk about growing Boston Ferns but you dont give any information on feeding? Can you add a feeding regimen while your ferns are outdoors during summer growing season? I usually put epsom salt in a bucket and submerge them every week i a huge container I use for gardening and let them soak for 30min. Then take out and let drain before outting back on my urn shaped pot? Grew huge luscious green ferns. Then i would use the left over water to feed my surrounding pots and garden! Can you add to this feed regimen?

Boston ferns like moisture, but they are not water plants! Don't go overboard with watering. I'm not sure, but my experience is that these plants don't go very deep with their roots. Don't put them in deep pots; the soil will stay forever wet and this is not a good idea. Boston ferns are sensitive for strong fertilizing. Fertilize every two weeks or three weeks with a diluted dosage (half or a third of what the bottle recommends).
