The Big Boulder Shutdown Alex Bogusky: Big Boulder Shut Down Show http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/17114777 GMO Free Boulder organized a rally at the Boulder County Commission to get GMOs off of publicly owned land. The County has been allowing the planting and growing of GM Corn since 2003, despite a ban on GMOs by the City of Boulder, who is a joint land owner of some of the public lands the County has been using to grow these genetically manipulated crops. The brand of Boulder as the organic and natural foods epicenter of America is being jeopardized by the County Commissioners. In response to the reckless and irresponsible management policy to allow GMOs on public land, businesses around Boulder, Colorado shut their doors for 3 hours one afternoon to attend the rally on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 Close to 1,000 people attended the Big Boulder Shutdown on the Courthouse lawn in downtown Boulder.
