Found this (relatively) massive spider lurking around in the bathroom of the Van Vihar Resort near Kothligad Fort (http://mountaintamers.blogspot.in/2013/06/trek-to-peth-fort-kothaligad-ambivali.html), Karjat. No idea how it got in there, but it seemed to be looking for a way out. The hotel staff eventually came along to catch it, and released it into a nearby garden. All's well that ends well.
