1. Good corn prices, their the same as th 70s, 2.90 a bushel you can't even afford to raise it

4. I am still sitting on the fence about mankind screwing around with mother nature in order to turn a good yield and a good profit. No one wants to see anyone starve, but when mankind invest huge amounts of time, energy, money into something that is not truly 100% natural, it is time we all look for something better. What that is, I cannot say, but as farmers we must collectively come to the realization that something natural is far better then something made up genetically. I am no scientist, but that doesn't preclude the possibility I may be correct. Farming is big business and most of us want to make the really big profits to keep things on the plus side. It is true that those who farm with genetically altered products can have a great yield, but at what cost to the American consumer?
   
   When I was a kid, corn tasted really good. I remember the taste as if it were yesterday. Today, corn has a very unique taste that is unlike anything I have ever encountered before. Of course, this depends greatly on where one gets their corn, but generally speaking, corn doesn't taste near as good as it did when I was a kid some 50 plus years ago. Today, it's all about profit and huge yields and less about the actual product itself. I get it though. Farmers trying to turn a profit so they can pay for it all. The farm, equipment, machinery, chemicals, water etc. Personally, I have never liked messing with things natural. Then again, I am not running a large operation. Perhaps that's the difference, but altering things natural seems likely to net only one result, the destruction of human kind. The lines have been long drawn regarding GMO's. The decision rest with the ag community and those that must weigh the pros and cons.🚜

6. Yep more than likely did happen that way but Monstano was not in the game then so the native peoples way of crossing crops was between same species ( Open Pollination) not cross Genetic species which is GMO's

9. Funny how the farmer pays great attention to detail and yet still runs a walker combine. Terrible looking sample running even that slow. Deere sure tricked a lot of 20th century farmers.
10. Yes it is nice corn too bad it is GMO GMO's cost more than they save that the cold hard truth are record crops worth our health give it some thought?

    that's not how evolution works.  the only thing it does is make a weaker plant, since it has weaker genes.  then the plant needs irrigated water, needs fertilizer, needs herbicides, needs pesticides, etc.  its needs become everything supplied by man.

17. This guy's yields are fantastic.  I remember 20 or so years ago when I was selling John Deere parts that good crops included 2 bale cotton, 2 ton peanuts and 200 bushels per acre corn were considered exceptional.  Keep up the good work!
18. I like the way the combine was running through the field.  It always seems to me that farmers are in too big of a hurry and run combines too fast to make sure that all of the yield is harvested.

20. I love the farmer but I hate the product. GMO corn is nothing to brag about. I buy my corn products from Mexico now because of US GMO policies.
