Welcome to Goat Week on With Husband In Tow! I never thought I would have a "goat week" on the blog. After hanging with some adorable French goats recently, I thought it would be warranted. During our Viking River Cruise from Avignon to Lyon, one of the possible excursions included a visit to a goat cheese farm and a visit to learn about truffle hunting. This particular French river cruise was focused on food and wine. This was just one of the food related excursions on offer. I jumped at the chance to learn more about goat cheese and truffles. I really really hoped that our French goat cheese farm trip would include some more time hanging with goats. This time, with French goats. In this case, there were a gaggle of French goats, all around 8 to 12 months old, so, goat teenagers. Unlike in the Czech Republic, where we could walk around with them, in France they were in their pen. But, I was okay with that. They all came running towards our group, and were as friendly as ever. Allowing us to pet them, and rub them behind their ears.
