Right in the middle of the upscale Montparnasse district of Paris is an old farmhouse in a state of increasing dilapidation. An initiative has been started to defend the site from profit-seeking speculators. Paris used to be home to 500 farmhouses, providing the French capital with fresh milk and other produce. They have now all disappeared except for "Ferme Montsouris", although it has been abandoned for some time. A real estate company bought the site, planning to build luxury apartments there.

Maybe even build shops in the labyrinths below the farm.

Profits, profits, profits ... just turn the farm into a working farm again and make it a tourist attraction!! That would make money too ... and the local people would be satisfied as well.

Paris developed enough if these were all over town Id say let them build. However in this case its the last of a historic site and should be preserved as a landmark
