The FOOD for Lane County's Youth Farm is a summer educational program that introduces limited-income teenagers to farming. Participants gain a variety of agricultural skills while learning teamwork and leadership. One day a week, the young farmers operate a produce stand at PeaceHealth Medical Center at Riverbend and manage a Community Supported Agriculture program. The farm grows over 35 different kinds of organic vegetables, over half of which are donated to FOOD for Lane County.
