Aquaculture sounds like such a good idea... but these fish are not raised as part of a sound, healthy, functioning eco-system. Farmed fish are often (usually) fed unnatural diets high in GMO grains. Farmed fish tend to concentrate certain toxins (including chemical pollutants and mercury). Farming fish can be done sustainably, so hopefully more of this will be done in the future.
