Mike Sylvia grew up in Rhode Island and found liberty in Ithaca, NY (stranger things have happened). He moved to Laconia, New Hampshire in 2010. Enjoying the lakes region, he bought land in Belmont in 2012 and in the same year was elected to his first term in the New Hampshire house. Michael Blair is a lifetime resident of the state of New Hampshire. Growing up in rural Barnstead, Mike learned to appreciate the forests, fields, rivers and ponds of his hometown under the tutelage of his father, a native New Hampshireman, rugged individualist, and staunch Constitutionalist. He taught Mike how to hunt and survive in the woods, the importance of working hard, standing up for what is right, and fostered in him a desire to serve. Mike graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, Class of 1990, with a Bachelor of Science degree, and later from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, with a Master of Aeronautical Science. He served for 10 years on active duty as both a B-1B bomber pilot and as an instructor pilot in the Air Force, and continued to serve in the New Hampshire Air National Guard as an instructor pilot while at the same time starting a career as an airline pilot. He was one of the first four pilots from the NH Air National Guard to volunteer to deploy overseas in the first days after 9/11. Mike retired from the military in 2013 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years of service. He is most proud, however, of being the father of three incredible kids, two of whom are in college and one in high school. Mike and his wife Cheri, currently reside in Lee, New Hampshire. Eric Catman is a small Business owner in Berlin NH, and has Lived in Coos County for 11 yrs. He is husband and father of 4 Children (3 boys, 1 girl). Eric is a free-spirited person that is full of passion and love of the North Country. When he and his wife settled here, they immediately fell in love with the area, and now consider this their true home. Surrounded by Lakes ponds, Mountains. and Woods, along with the lowest crime rates in the State, made the choice of Moving here a "no brain-er". Eric is the co-operator of PorcTours, featuring tours of the Coos County area as well as Nature Tours. Ian is the program director of LRN.FM and hosts “Free Talk Live“. As a minister in the Shire Free Church, it’s his mission in life to effectively communicate and propagate the ideas of peace, love, and liberty, and to have fun doing it. Ian founded the Free Keene blog in late 2006 after moving to the Shire as part of the Free State Project. Jody Underwood, Ph.D., is a founder and owner of Bardo Project and is one of the faces of Bardo Farm. She lives off the grid on a large property in New Hampshire with a varying number of people, depending on the season and the year, all learning back-to-basics skills. She moved to NH for the FSP in 2007 and is currently on the FSP board of directors. She focuses on K-12 education both professionally and as the chair of her local school board, which recently instituted school choice and included private schools as part of the choice (which is causing a stir in the state department of education). Her goal is to figure out ways to revolutionize education. Her bio would be incomplete without mentioning that two of her favorite things are dancing and teaching dance. Mark Warden has been in the real estate business for more than 17 years as an agent, investor and landlord. Mark formed “Team Porcupine Real Estate” in 2009, serving residential and commercial real estate clients, focusing on FSP participants.
