The water was turned off in the San Joaquin Valley in Fresno, California. The water supplied many farms that produce 60% food for America and world supply. The water was turned off to save a so call indanger species called the Delt Smelt Fish. Since the water was turned off, farms are drying up, people are lossing their jobs and lively hood, and people are starving. Obama is ignore the crys of the American people, so what is his true agenda in causeing this manmade drought?

Some good info. I like your point about the American Farmer being the newest endangered species. Maybe the farmers will now be eligible for protection under the Endangered Species Act.

The fish isn't in danger put a light on water at night wait couple hours an watch how many show up.
-
Yes but Obama can turn it back on. He promised to veto any bill that does so.

You notice in their drive to save the earth Obama and his thugs pick on the people who can't fight back. They would never turn off the water in south central la there would be riots. Nor would they turn off the water in hollywood.

@sandoval10: California is a case study in what happens when progressives have control over state government. Going from one of the most efficient, educated populations, and well run states into a basket-case in 25 years. A place where everyone believes they are entitled to the fruits of someone else's labor. Well, when everyone wants "someone else" to pay and no one is left to earn the money, you are in serious trouble.

The water was not turned off by the EPA. the EPA deals with water quality. The water was restricted because by the federal district court judge's decision and the central valley project and state water project facilities run by the bureau of reclamation and the department of water resources had to follow CESA and ESA (endangered species act) guidlines. Your lack of attention to detail tells me that you have not done enough research.

@NorCalSoul And dare anyone speak out about these issues, they'll be called crazy, or dangerous. Prime example when Pelosi did an entire speech about how she's worried and scared because people are speaking out against these type of policies and she's seen this kind of thing before. Freedom of Speech is not a scary thing Pelosi. Even if you disagree with people, Speech should be respected.

The government does this in CA and Oregon all the time. They cut off the water to the farmers and claim some environmental protection issue. Then as seen with the health care vote, they can conveniently promise certain Senators in those areas to turn the water back on and those desperate senators that have been begging for the water can then vote the desired vote. Trading votes. In the meantime, there are the farmers livelihoods put in jeopardy, and we produce less agriculture in the U.S.

well you know who not to vote for next time. obama is a disaster and merely a puppet for the power brokers. how fitting.
