This is the story of Eric Hedrick, a contract chicken farmer in West Virginia. Eric invested over a million dollars in his chicken houses, which is not uncommon for chicken farmers with contracts with large corporations like Tyson Foods or Perdue. Despite working long hours 7 days a week, he is losing money raising chickens. To learn more and see stories about other farmers like Eric, visit: www.undercontractfilm.com

If you own 400 acres, then why do you waste your time and resources to support factory farming when you could be organic and sustainable and put the money in YOUR pocket instead of corrupt big ag factory coffers? There are many organizations that would help you get started such as MOSES , ATTRA , etc So many sustainable options including even aquaponics. The only way to stop this nonsense of big ag is to stop supporting them. Wouldn't you get more satisfaction if you went home at night with more $ in your pocket and the satisfaction of knowing you are growing a healthy product and animals are healthier, happier?
