They know what interest or taxes are? Corporate farming messing up small community landscape, water and land. GMO research I supposed that can wait. They say farmers do what they are told don't learn(care/hear) about GMOs and what they are doing. History proves more food equals more people. Is that irresponsible to? Cut rain forests for more ethonal while N Dakota oil assets are selling at fraction financed. Knock knock. To guy below... sweet corn in corn flakes, bread, flour, sweeteners? The downtown co-op must have a Harry Potter cloaked bin full. The trucks down at Quaker Oats/ADM all came from the same fields. Am I wrong?

Why in the world does it make sense to use precious environmental resources to grow FOOD and use it to make fuel? One less barrel of oil is a benefit? Why should valuable food resources be made to compete with energy needs? Food costs more! Hundreds of millions of acres of valuable environment has been converted to grow food to make fuel. Just another giant government jobs program. This is a mistake.

Informative video, guess i'll stop giving your cousin shit about Iowa lol.

This has the same tone of every other Scott Siepker segment regarding all things "Iowa" so I'm not sure why anyone would expect or demand anything different. FYI farmers, especially livestock, typically don't have a lot of extra time to educate the public on what it is we do or care about but instead allow others to form the narrative simply from what they read online or are told by activists. This is a creative way to counteract some of that.

As a farm boy born and raised I agree with everything he says, I just wish there was a better way to say it. Is this video really supposed to educate the misinformed or is it just to get people with a farm background to like and share it and pat ourselves on the back for being right? Am I wrong or is insulting people's intelligence really a good way to help them have an open mind about things they usually disagree with? I expect this kind of stuff from the NRA, not so much from those affiliated with IPTV.

Here's to the crayon farmers! What colorful fields.

Not to mention all the jobs and businesses that agriculture creates! Well done!

Thanks Scott! Farmers are doing their best on conservation and ensuring clean water.

We love Iowa farmers too - but we can't stand dirty water. We'd love to see Mr. Siepker stand up for Iowa's rivers, lakes and streams and support full funding for Iowa's Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund. You can pucker up and sign here if interested - http://bit.ly/fund-iwill
