The bird flu has struck a second egg farm in Iowa. About 5.3 million egg laying hens will be destroyed after tests confirmed the outbreak. The USDA says this is the largest operation in the nation to be hit with the virus since December. IBM (IBM) is showing progress in some new areas, which it calls "strategic imperitives". IBM's overall financial picture for the quarter was better than Wall Street expected even though revenue did decline. IBM, like many U.S. multinational companies, is dealing with negative currency issues. David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital is investing in General Motors. In a note to investors it said the worst of the recall is behind it.
