Far from Heaven is the soundtrack, on the Varese Sarabande label, of the 2002 Academy Award-nominated film Far from Heaven, starring Julianne Moore, Dennis Quaid, Dennis Haysbert and Patricia Clarkson. This was the final feature film score composed by Elmer Bernstein before his death. The album was nominated for the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score. Track List: 1. It is not a remake. Each movie is completely different. What this is is a homage to the Douglas Sirk films of the 1950's.

This film is remake of "All That Heaven Allows" of Douglas Sirk. Both films are very good.

totally agree--love bernstein's stuff--he was the first composer i really tried to look up and listen to a lot (grew up watching "hallelujah trail" over and over again). this was a nice one for sure.
