Exploring Abandoned Horse Farm House With the original colonial portion of this house built in the late 1700s, this massive home sits abandoned on 45 acres of old horse farm land. The original part of the home still exist. As you will see when browsing through my photos, it’s in the middle of this home. Additions were added on later and the main mansion part of the home was constructed in the 1850s. The home looked different today then it did 100 years ago. The main construction / layout was still the same, however the roof was different. Not sure exactly when the roof was changed out to what it is today, but the old roof style it had was always know to hold water and rot out which could be the reason it was changed out. The barn in the back is the original horse barn. It’s said that champion horses were trained here. The last known owner of this home lived here for many years. When she grew old, she spent her life in the kitchen area of the house while her grandkids took care of her. Sadly when she passed away, so did the house. Her grandkids continued to live in the home but shortly decided it was time to sell. The house and the land was put on the market in 2008 for 4.5 Million US Dollars! 2008 was the worst time for the housing market. One reason why so many of these old colonial style homes ended up vacant due to the cost of upkeep. Of course no one was interested in the house except the famous Toll Brothers. However they weren’t interested in the house, instead they were interested in subdividing the land for newer home development. On the entire property, there are marker sticks in the ground. It is said they were planning on demolishing this beautiful home. However not much has happened and I am not sure if they are still interested in the land or backed out as the public records don't show them as current owners. Today the house is going down hill. Over the past few years, people have started going into the home and stealing stuff. Windows are broken and doors are busted open for over a years time and no one has come back to fix it. Mold is completely taking over this house as you can see in the photos. One odd thing was that power was still on in this house. The current conditions, broken windows, and broken doors lead me to believe that whomever is paying the electric has not come back to this house ever again to see it. It’s sadly in terrible shape and said to be very haunted! Thanks to John Walker for providing me with some historical information. I would so love to own that house I would fix it up yes I know it would be cheaper to build new !But I like older homes! I have been looking for old homes like that or at least something of that type or older near to buy with no luck. I did fiend a few hear and there but the county would not sell to me saying it would not be worth saving but I'm the type that dose not care my money. Any who like the video good work

It's too bad that they couldn't sell the house with one acre and then the tract of land separately so that it would sell. It is a historical structure and should be preserved. What a waste!.

you would be amazed to find the house is just a weird owner. I will explain. buy me I have a neighbor by my brothers house that has not lived in his house in over 6 years yet he has the power on still and every now in then he stops buy drives up into his driveway stayes for a min or to then leaves sometimes he goes in for a min or so but then leaves. I also have hurd of people prepaing years in advance on bills like cable and electric for a summer home and leaveing a tv or radio on so people think someone is home yet they are not and have not ben in the house for years. I wounder if that is what this is and someone stoled the tv or radio they left on. I no we used to own a caben when I was a kid in the north and we would call to have the electric and phone turned on when we went up their but after so many years of doing it the phone and electric companie changed it to wear we would call them when we got their and when we left and only pay for the electric we used when their and the phone for the calls and only the month we wear their even if it was not a full month but still it saved us money and kept things on and the one time it was over 3 years since we wear up their in fact it was a friend calling cus who did not hear from us in that 3 years that offered to buy the place witch was a huge mistake since we sold the land for 200k and now its worth over a mil 20 years lator.

Trust me, you wouldn't want to live in that house even if it was renovated

Why does the video keep stopping and going?

Looks like there's still hope for the house if someone gets it very soon and starts restoration. But it will still cost a fortune considering the size.
-
random as hell but i seriously have the same wheel barrel at 11:55. i drug it out of the woods behind a neighbors house.

Power left on so it "accidentally" burns down
