That's right, fresh durian can now be had in Puerto Rico! Much thanks to Ian Crown for taking the time to talk to me about what inspired him to do this and what it's like growing a Southeast Asian fruit in the western hemisphere. I LOVED this Video! Thank you so much. I'm in Thailand right now and I had Durian for the first time this year. I got absolutely OBSESSED with it , I even started documenting on my YouTube channel about my Mouthgasms that I experience lol. But for Real, I would've never believed that anything can beat a perfectly ripe Cavendish.. man was I wrong! Peace and Love✌🌱

Hello
I am a Thai, living in Lima, Peru. I wonder if you can send some fresh durians to me in Lima, Peru. If yes, how much does it cost? -
I am a fruit taster that lives in Puerto Rico and I never Imagined the was durian here in puerto rico. Where can I contact him? or were is his durian farm located? I can't seem to find any contact information online.

Wow, I didn't know that this is possible. Cool. Durians have many sub-species and taste different too according to the soil, weather, etc. I wonder how the durians taste there..pls try to cultivate this nearly extinct fruit from my country Malaysia, it is called chikoo, or sapodilla. Enjoy the fruits.

Really enjoyed your video. It's exciting watching the plants grow.
I've got a dozen durian trees on my farm in Rincon Puerto Rico. They are about 5-6 years old and two different types; Durio zibethinus and a odorless,Borneo variety.
I bought some of the trees from Sadhu in Mayaguez and the others from Jardines Eneida down in Cabo Rojo. I planted the Durian trees in different area around the farm and few are doing excellent. I'll plant more Durian varieties in the areas that do well.
Rambutan has started fruiting, I don't know if Rambutan has ever fruited in Rincon? So far we have 148 species of fruit and nut trees growing on the farm.
Best,
John -
