It's raining nearly every day here in the southern caribbean and we had an incredibly wet "dry season" It's a shame though that it comes at the expense of other nations

Wow, major problem for world markets and at a time when world economise is fragile and political unrest is seen in allot of countries. And damn this is bad for an election year, I'm not in America, but this might, indirectly ,push some people to vote for a rich millioner that don't give a..about the people. But rather look out for big bossiness and there interests. I'm from South Africa, please do not make the same mistake.

I hear your story and feel the same on many ideas, but one must at some point consider that we are taking another life when we eat meat. Many people do get a joyful feeling when they eat, thats why many are overweight. With tasty food in our mouth we know that things are going alright whether it is plant or meat. I think humans can step out of their inbred meat desperation, there are many vegetarians who have, but of course it must start in the mind.

I'm kind of wondering about the effects on society if we didnt eat meat. Meat takes alot of infrastructure which cant be afforded during drought times. The many pounds of plants to make a pound of meat can be used to feed many people. I think most of the arguments for meat are for its protein value. There are plant substitutes. With the price of meat and for all these other reasons, i'm considering going vegetarian.

Man eats meat out of desperation, deep down inside he gets no real joy in taking the life of an animal for sport or meat.

Good this means farmers in other contries will fanaly catch a brake and be able to feed their families. this year the us wont screw up world prices.

Need more home gardens where irrigation is more practical.
-
We need to seriously limit our meat consumption, grow human food directly.

So much for Monsanto's alleged drought-resistant corn and soy!
