Listened to it when it came out and still listen to it today in 2016
-
Still love this, 20 years on!!!!
-
omg that final crescendo, what literature! UNIQUE.
-
I have listened to this song a ridiculous amount of times over the last three days :)
-
Nice name you have there Tosh. Your announcement of it was surprising and bright. Well done.
-
4:06-4:37 Kind of sounds like Jacques Brel singing. The lyrics towards the end are really rousing. We're the army behind Neil, his marching pink elephants, really.
-
@locojets he has - the army of good music - his arrangement is just stunning!
-
Intelligent, thought-provoking, beautiful; words are not sufficient to describe this genius!
-
This song cheers me right up whenever I hear it, it's just fantastic.
-
The best song in the world. Ever.
-
Arguably the finest composition to have emanated from this diminutive giant. A personal, perennial favourite anyway, which I'm pleased to see continues to pop up in his live sets, including the recent solo piano version. The arrangement here is unsurpassable. Top drawer.

Atheistic Tosh!
-
genius composition and lyrically sublime :)
-
Exactly! There are so many artists in that case, unfortunately...
-
I very much agree. this is part of TDC canon that doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves.
-
Simply wonderful...
