A Cumberland Farms store clerk in Shelton, Connecticut was horrifically struck by a car, dragged for a distance then hit his head when he fell after trying to stop a thief from stealing posters featuring David Hasselhoff advertising the chain store's iced coffee drinks. The unidentified store clerk was critically injured in the incident. According to reports, there was a wave of people stealing posters featuring The Hoff in and around New England last summer during the first campaign for the iced coffee drink. Hundreds of posters were reporteldy stolen. Although Cumberland Farms is happy with the ad campaign's popularity, they are not pleased with the rampant theft, saying "The Hoff is there for all to enjoy." In a recent case, a clerk working at a store in Shelton, Connecticut, saw someone trying to steal two of the posters, and attempted to put a stop to it. Unfortunately, the clerk was unsuccessful and ended up with serious injuries when the thief hit him with this car and dragged him along the road. The clerk ended up falling and hitting his head. Cumberland Farms launched a new campaign this summer for the iced coffee drink, again featuring The Hoff. Anticipating another wave of thievery, the company has doubled its prints of the advertisements to 1,200 pieces. However, that has not stopped people from Hasseling The Hoff ... in the form of taking advertisements featuring the former Baywatch star enjoying an iced coffee while balancing on a surfboard. -------------------------------------------------------- TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
