Farms: David The Good's North Florida Food Forest: The Farewell Tour

Check out my little book Create Your Own Florida Food Forest for a great list of species and inspiration: http://amzn.to/20cxRDN Almost six years ago, author David The Good began his North Florida food forest. This food forest project has been visited by hundreds (or more) of people and has been toured by a multitude of gardening groups and individuals, including garden lovers who have driven in from other states to see it. It served as the inspiration for two Florida gardening books and was the testing ground for ideas in two other books. Almost 100 fruit and nut trees plus a baffling array of edible roots, shrubs, berries, palms and more... ...and I, David The Good, have now sold this amazing experiment to another lucky individual who also loves food forests. Today I present you with the farewell tour, letting you see, for the last time through my eyes, the incredible developments in this multi-year permaculture project. It's in a similar climate to Val and Eli's food forest, and has even been blessed by a visit from my Florida gardening friend Alex Ojeda, permaculture dude extraordinaire. Farewell, food forest. I will miss you.

I can't stand people like this that talk shit about pot. I use it medically for my crohns disease. Its the only medicine that relieves my pain. People like this make others think there is something wrong with it. It's a plant that has been used for years.

The 'planned wasp nest' idea intrigues me, but do you have any trouble with them damaging the wood in the fence?

David which species of the Paulownia would you mention for Florida? I think I have heard Fortunei before but want to confirm.

Love that book David and refer to it often in my pursuit of a food forest. Thank you!
