We have been going to Cox Farms in Virginia for years, and think it's the best fall festival - pumpkin patch in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Great slides, hayride, entertainment, corn maze (complete with a vortex in a school bus and a house occupied by rodents!), food, and the free apples and cider are wonderful! Lots of animals to say hello too; they even added a cow milking show this year. They also have a great little store that sells homemade treats and Halloween/fall goods. Like all attractions, you'll pass through it on your way out. Everyone gets to pick out a pumpkin to take home. I really like how Heather brought our pumpkins to life so I included a picture of them here! The lines to get into the festival can definitely get quite long, and if you go after a rainstorm be prepared to bring home some very muddy shoes! However, it's all worth it. This is definitely the perfect place to go on a nice fall weekend! They also do a Halloween event at night too if you'd like to see this place in a spookier way! We hope you enjoy watching this video which gives you a good idea of what it's like to go to Cox Farms. And yes, we know the hayride footage is a little shaky but it's hard to control a video camera on a bumpy hayride! :)
