Farms: Common Market Warehouse Launch in Philadelphia

Common Market – a Philadelphia-based non-profit food distributor that connects local, sustainable small farmers with schools, hospitals and similar institutions – celebrated its five-year anniversary by launching its new a 70,000 square foot warehouse on September 12, 2013. The event was co-hosted with RSF Social Finance, a nonprofit financial services organization specializing in food and agriculture, ecological stewardship, and education. The event also featured Mycopolitan Mushroom Co. and other founding partners in Common Market's Philly Good Food Lab, an incubator for local food enterprises and entrepreneurs located within the same warehouse.
