Nice report Aaron, to bad people don't want to farm anymore. The economy is sputtering here in Denver too. Very interesting exhibits.
-
Wow, I haven’t been to the lane county fair in probably 15 years in that time the agricultural part of it has almost completely disappeared.
-
Collase of local farming?? what is up with that??
-
@jchahine ...ladies and gentlemen we have a winner!
-
@moofph Yeah, it's called a Supermarket
-
Don't vote for another Democrat!

@BabyHominid I don't think that that's the full story. 1917 Russia showed that during WWI, the regime sent farmers off to war & food to the front & it clogged up the railway system, so that people starved in the towns. Prices rose & there was famine in the winter of 1916-1917. US Farmers may be more independent minded & productive, but a collapse in the food system due to government policy would probably kill 50 million Americans in a couple of years. Start gardening.

...thanks aaron...you are doing a great job showing what you see there in oregon and it is greatly appreciated...can you imagine the flip-side to all you have shown? a fair where on display is processed food and manufactured imports and genetically altered organisms.

I was interested in what this vid presented not only from the point of view of our economy and the current health of the family farm but also because the waning of country and state fairs is alarming. This is what keeps these concepts alive in our society, especially within our youth. It is frightening to see that many urban blacks are disrupting the fairs and endangering their existence. See the demise of the Michigan State Fair of 160 years and the attacks on fair goers at the Iowa State Fair

Humans should not be affraid to be obsessive on food safty and agricultural independance. Socialism brings the de-humanisation and the robotisation of us.

@valhala56 Some say Youtube is making room for commercial videos. Some say it's because too many people try to wach it at the same time...or that there is too many people on YT at the same time...But i feel it's "ninja censorship".
-
@rayme4raw I cannot say, but humanity seems to have always despised productive people. It's like a family that dotes on their drug-head son and the one that works hard gets ignored.
-
Hi Aaron. This was by far your most shocking report. We are NOT a practical nation anymore. I think I'll do my next video about the matter. The free ride off foreign products and debt money has gone about as far as it can possibly go. My Grandpa was fond of saying that the Romans had deteriorated to where the men could not even carry the armor their forefathers fought battles in.
-
My grandfather had county prizewinning sheep, and the state record for largest potato at one time. He was a local celebrity in his day. These things aren't important anymore. A shame. The exhibits aren't a fraction of what they used to be.
-
Aaron, farming is going to pick up in the coming years. Once the dollar collapses, imports will be expensive/impossible to get. Localization will be coming back. The paper fiat dollar people are determined to keep the present Central banking system going but it is in vein.
-
@ecocheapwebdad They will regret it!
-
@adb024 Indeed!
-
@adb024 Why are farmers hated? I thought that most people don't want to farm because all they see is a lot of hard work for little money. I want to get some land next year myself.
-
@ecocheapwebdadI feel bad for touching it. You sound like you have a good plan. The reason no one farms is because farmers are hated like during 1917 Russia.

@LordoftheKaty All I can do is wait, or upload it again.
