What an interesting sport, to say the least. It's embedded into Filipino culture. A billion dollar industry, it's completely legal and trainers pay taxes on their bets... It's kinda like a casino. They even have a website called cockfightlive.com where you live stream and bet on cockfights in the Philippines. The gov't actually builds these derby rings (officially known as 'Cocktagons' .. jp lol} to raise tax revenue, because even it if were illegal people would still be holding backyard matches every week (video of that coming soon). I find most of the entertainment to be in the hilarious people, the expressions on their faces and the crazy betting fiasco, not necessarily the fighting part. It's a bit more brutal than chess (they tie 4" blades to the fighting roosters feet), but at least we're not living in the Gladiator ages.... Heheh.. Enjoy and leave a comment!
