A demonstration of how to choose and use a city state not just to steal workers, but also get XP and promotions for your military. Even a Great General which can be used to bolster your defenses, money, or even happiness. Wanted to add a follow up picture from a different game: http://i.imgur.com/nO07yhP.png Here you can see I used a citadel to grab a unique luxury and sheep tile. Also wanted to point out you can use this technique for your navy too to also work towards a Great Admiral.

as i played the last civ5 BNW match i used to kidnap like 3 workers from different citiystates and now in the midgame every citiystate influence is at -20 and will stay there or if i did some quest for them its sinking by -2 every turn how exactly does it work like that ?

So actually even city state cannot destoy a city from another city state. I once was giving cities to city-state and instead of keeping them it razed them (Sad story). But I see that it is possible by giving it city states not cities from another civilizations.

I like the video, good explanation and thank you. But I'm wondering about the strategy itself. It seems like a huge waste of time to me. Does it really work? Is it worth it? Maybe it is and I'm just picturing myself being bored by it, lol. But anyway, thanks again.

Greece has no penalty for trespassing in CS territory. Recovers CS influence from negatives twice as fast. Units heal in CS territory as though it was home territory - EVEN IF THEY ARE AT WAR WITH THE CS.

Your question about the great general - I believe that it produces GG points as long as it's earning XP. I've actually gotten one killing barbs by pumping out new units :)

Please do not use Ethiopia in the future for demonstration (Unless doing a Ethiopia specific video),...Barbarians have a tendency to blend in with Evergreen/Red color scheme of Ethiopia.
I guess using the latest EUI (BC1) would alleviate this problem,...Brighter red on barbs with thicker border. Thanks! -

Good discusion but all your army and tech problems could be solved just from building one thing. And this thing called Petra. You would just be outrageously strong with theese type of tiles you got, and maybe even stronger if you get some luck with a strategic resources. Its just I hate when people do some things blindly, like you doing it just for demonstration purposes, but totaly forget to mention some game changin things.
