Farm To Work is a partnership between the El Paso Office of Resilience + Sustainability and El Paso True Food. As part of the City’s ongoing focus on employee health and wellness, we aim to increase fruit and vegetable intake among city employees by improving convenience and increasing access. In doing so, we also create a new market for local farmers at worksites. When you join Farm To Work you get to enjoy the convenience of receiving farm fresh and organically-grown produce delivered straight to your workplace. El Paso True Food sources from local farms practicing organic methods. We've chosen to define “local” based on the 2008 Farm Act, which defines the total distance that a product can be transported as less than 400 miles from its origin, or the state in which it is produced. The current subscription period begins in October and farm shares will be delivered on the following dates: Wednesday, October 5th Wednesday, October 19th Wednesday, November 2nd Wednesday, November 16th Wednesday, November 30th Wednesday, December 14th The Farm To Work pilot program operates on a bi-weekly basis, every other Wednesday El Paso True Food delivers your farm share to City 1 Breezeway at 300 N.
