This is an active coffee farm in which registered guests can join the staff daily if you choose (advance notice needed). The farm has been in the family for over 30-years. After the owners retired from their positions in the medical field, they decided to continue working the farm, producing mainly coffee, harvesting citrus trees, and even harvesting their own delicious honey. When you visit you'll get to see the machinery and the elaborated craftsmanship of picking the ripe coffee fruit, processing it with rain/ spring water and drying it with natural sun light. This is 100% Arabica Coffee, and is available to all our guests, just like the honey and handmade soap bars. If you happen to love the product, you will have the opportunity to purchase any of them and take them with you as a delicious reminder of your amazing stay at Casa Cafe. The owners Julio and his lovely wife Carmen go to the farm on a daily basis to work, they will make sure the house is ready for your stay. They don't speak a lot of English, but definitely enough to get by., just remember that Adam and I are a call/ text away. This lovely quaint home is located 2,000 ft. above sea level. You will love the lush rain forest conditions that this side of the island has to offer. Just like all of our other homes, this one has a well equipped Kitchen, 3-Bed Rooms, 1-Full Bathroom, a nice Living Room which includes a Full size Futon, a Flat Screen T.V. a DVD player and WiFi. If you are anything like Adam and I, you'll be happy to know that while staying here you will have access to a semi-private river. What I mean by semi-private is that not a lot of people know about this spot. The times we've been there, or any of our guests have been there, no one has been around. It's going to be about a 30 min. hike down, and we'll explain how to get there. I would encourage you to look at the pictures we have posted and be inspired by nature at its best, it's simply amazing. If what you are looking for is to get away from what has become your everyday, while at the same time learn and experience another culture then you are in for a treat.
