Myth seeker, You should check your facts on the calf issue because your wrong. Not going to argue with someone spreading lies, but I actually have worked on a dairy and know better

Wow. No matter what farmers do to produce more with less they get criticized by people perverting the truth and the science. Really comes down to this, each year there is less farm acreage in the world and more people to feed. The dairy industry for one has produced more with less by using technology and science thus reducing their carbon foot print and improving their already awesome product. This has all been done with the care of the animal being the guiding theme as every farmer knows that a healthy, comfortable, happy animal is more productive and profitable. Sorry mr. Animal rights activist, but those are the facts.

Dairy gets tested on every load of milk for antibiotics so there are no antibiotics in milk. They don't feed antibiotics. Calves are removed from their mothers in the first day to ensure their safety and that they get the proper colostrum and vaccines. Calves are not kept in cages and while they are confined they are free to move around. Farmers do need to make money because they are running a business after all, what do you expect, and when I cow is no longer productive they get sold for beef. God Bless the cheeseburger, an All American creation! Bull calves normally are not killed but raised up to around 1200 lbs and then slaughtered. I like my steak medium! So before you criticize the farmer, remember he feeds the world.

They are meant to move around more - and they can and do live outdoors
like Ummm errrrr.... Animals. This is just selfish keeping them indoors.
Factory farming crap yet again. -
How does it works with the manure on this farm? Is there a Container under the stable or do they use lagoons?
