BruntonDairy.com Big Bill Brunton bought the land in 1832. Then in 1963, we bought a milk plant. My grandfather was the first one to start milking cows, and we've been doing that ever since. Everybody that works here, their name is on top of the bottle. So everybody here wants it to be as good as it possibly can be, because their name's on it. We're gonna keep it to what we can handle. I mean, we milk 108 cows. That's because we want to milk 108 cows. We don't want to milk 2,000 cows. We don't want to get big to hire employees, because their name's not on the bottle. It's all our own milk, and it always will be. That's something that's important to us. It's just all our milk, and we try to do a better job of making it taste better. We feed our cows after we milk them, that way you don't get the feed taste in it. We use glass bottles because they're recyclable, reuse-able, the milk tastes better, and it keeps the milk color. Twenty minutes in fluorescent light will make your milk taste like plastic. You can come out and see our cows: how they're milked, where your milk comes from, and how we treat our cows. We raise healthy cows, and we don't treat them with hormones, because that's just another stress added to the cow. We stay away from anything that would hurt the health of our babies. Delivering milk cows to house, is our one-on-one with the customer. They know you, I know them. You build a relationship with your customer base better than just having milk on a store shelf. You buy local, that way you know where the milk comes from. You know the people that produce your food. You help the local economy. You can have a personal relationship with your cow, if you want to. That's what keeps the quality up, is the motivation of the way your customers treat you. We grew up this way, and you want to provide a quality product for your local community. And you take pride in what you do.
