DOWNLOAD: http://ge.tt/3qFJ4kK1/v/0?c IMPORTANT NOTICE: This farm does not work in the 1.8 snapshots so far because it seems that Mojang have screwed with the Wither's hitbox, and it is able to slip free out of the fences because it is shorter. Wither Cage tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dHkHfWJ1T8 This design is cheap, simple, and will give you all the obsidian you need in a matter of minutes! This is really useful for overworld nether portal gold farms using the huge 1.7 portals :) I also hope that Panda4994 and DanielKotes see this :P

Will it work in SMP if I have one guy at the wither cage and one in the overworld near the end portal loading the entire area around it so I don't need any chunkloaders?

Very interesting, and yes I saw this - Ground15 mentioned it, so here I am.
We are currently looking into making the obisidian farm (and other wither based farms) once more possible in 1.8, and seeing this setup provides just one more way for us to try and position it. No guarantees that we will have anything out before 1.8, but we are working on it, and I honestly doubt that the obsidian farm is permanently broken. -
Nice design, but the clock for the arrows should be slower. It seems like the wither is slowly dying.

Very good concept dude! Like and subscribed!

You should put this on the reddit

wow Awesome dude! ^^

Purple, isn't it smarter to use snowballs instead of arrows? Because he takes damage from arrows and not from snowballs which means that you don't have to replace him =)
