Welcome to Bright Agrotech's vertical aquaponic greenhouse! Here on the blustery high plains of Wyoming, we need to maximize our crop production in order to make a profit and feed our local community. We've developed a unique growing system utilizing vertical production towers that allows us to not only grow much more in our space, but also transport our crops live to market so consumers can cut their own! TALK ABOUT FRESH! We want to thank our great Kickstarter backers again for all of your generous support! Thanks so much and we hope you'll keep in touch! Do you use any filters, mineralization, or any other tanks for your system? Or is it just a sump?
-
Do you have a video on the density and arrangement of zipgrow towers in a greenhouse so all the plants have access to light?
-
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!btw have you tried using crayfish for your aquaponics?
-
question: why not send water from the fish tank directly to the towers? i know you'd have to elevate your fish house slightly, but it seems that would be slightly more efficient, since you wouldn't potentially have fishtank water being pumped back into the fishtanks... (i know it gets mixed in the sump, but doesn't that just reduce the inefficiency?)

SICK! thanks for making amazing videos like this, sharing your wisdom and experience.
-
In another video (which I can't find now) you mention that you use coated seeds for planting. Who do you get your seeds from?
-
re: heating the greenhouse. have you considered using a solar hot water collector? I've read it can work rather nicely
-
This might be a topical question, I am wondering if you use artificlal light. I have not seen any, if you were to do so what type of system would you consider.Cost is a huge concern when covering a large area and systems are not cheap, so cost/area covered is of importance.
Daylight hours surely affect growth rates during the winter period.A switch or sensor that shuts on and off artificial light when natural light is available could increase yields and be energy effecient.
Another question i wanted to ask is what are your growing cycle times ive read 45 day growing times for lettuce is this achievable or does it fluctuate?Does this growth cycle continue throughout the year or are there periods where growth does not occur? -
Hello.... would I be able to grow sweet peppers vertically?
-
Why don't you grow on both sides of the towers? Couldn't you increase their size only slightly and put enough soil inside to make it able to fit two?

Hi guys, Very nice setup folks, I'm from Western Canada & I will be using a similar style of green house. Thanks for all the fantastic informative videos! Very helpful indeed! One question could you better explain conveyor production in another video? Thanks brother, Happy Holidays!

Great videos! I'm really glad I stumbled on to your site. I just built a 12x16 greenhouse and I intend to grow hydroponic herbs to sell at markets. Your zip tower system seems very efficient.

How much fish / tower do u have? You said 350 towers right? Whats the mature size of stocking there?
-
I here different opinions on running a greenhouse East-West & other say North-South - what does the Doctor say. Thanks....
-
what is the size, brand and cost of your greenhouse ?
-
all that co2

Yeah Missy- compost heating can be awesome when you have a LOT of compost. There are folks in Europe that are doing it, and Growing Power also does it. It can produce a lot of heat. We don't do it just because we don't typically have enough compost to make it work. If you have access to tons of compostable material, it's definitely worth looking into.

has anyone tried running recirculating coiled water hoses, under plastic liner, under compost pile in corner or greenhouse? compost piles get pretty hot.

copy away!

We wholesale our herbs at $2/oz and our greens around $3.50/lb. Our greenhouse runs around 350 towers currently on 4-5 week turns depending on the crop. Check out our production estimates guide on our website for production numbers.
