do books vs movies the hobbit
-
Adore the book, never thought much of either film (though the original is far better)

personally having seen both the 54 and the 99 versions i prefer the 54 version. In a lot of ways i thought that one was more faithful to the book. But,i did appreciate the 99 version for diving into the humans perspective a bit more. We actually see the humans more in the 99 version. Plus im sad noone brought this up but have you noticed that the ending is completely changed? Though i will say both the 54 and 99 versions changed the ending from the book. But i think the book was better in a lot of ways. But the 54 is my favorite film adaptation. i give 99 props though for being a lot darker.

The 1954 animal farm is is better than the 1999 version

You seem to ignore the fact that the movies came after the books, therefor the books are right and any change Hollywood makes are made purely made to make the movies sale able. Really the book is primary, you can't defend what Hollywood has done.

Great review but you should have included the animated one.
-
I like it when you do simple reviews instead of all this bullshit.

Very well-written, shot, and acted review! Love this series Matt!
-
I love how at 17:35 you see Reg walk past him XD

Your channel came up on my U Tube Recommends ...I really enjoy you watching your reviews...Matt/Hatter ( nod to Alice in Wonderland) are imaginative hilarity. I will be checking out your reviews often.

I'm reading this in English class and it's taking forever! Thank GOD I'm watching you!

I just saw the movie as a kid it really freaked me out.

I have one problem with this review, and most won't even notice it. Now, bear with me: I personally like the 1954 version better, but that's just me, and perhaps most like the 90s version better. However, despite Matt's saying that the 1954 version is even less subtle than then book, I don't think he saw it, because of this: at 10:18, he states that Whymper might be pronounced Wime-per, despite the fact that the 1954 version clearly states that it is pronounced Wimper. I'm probably reading too much into it, but there's my though process.

Whoever decided to cast Patrick Stewart as Napoleon deserves a medal.

I love this. You are slowly becoming my favorite content creator.

the cartoon is better cause in the movie only the pigs talk.....It looked more like Babe 3,cause in the cartoon all the animals spoke and the remake ie the live-action one will always b inferior cause it does not have the same feels
-
yep and this live action version was more like a squeal to babe or gordy and remakes always are inferior animal farm was suposed to be like watership down, plauge dogs, and feladie and it was one of the best animated classics of that time, and it was england not america that was repersented in the story
-
It did follow the book more and do a book vs movie of Felidae or Watership Down
-
I saw it. I didn't much care for it.

There was an animated version which was better
