is 9 feet necessary spacing between the two plants or can I go shorter.?
-
Nice lay out. Ive been thinking about planting some rows of blueberrys. My produce
grow area is 5.5 acres. I wonder is I put just two rows 165ft long to start would be
enough for picking and not run out. -
Very nice plantation .How do you do that there are no weeds? What do you use herbicides ? Regards Thomas!

the blueberry drip irrigation holes are spaced every 18" inches apart between each blueberry plant, but the drip irrigation tubing comes in all types of spacing, drip irrigation is cheap though and comes in 1,000 foot rolls and you only need 3 rolls per acre, so that's only about $420 per acre for the drip tubing to complete your blueberry field irrigation, just call us with questions: (609) 561-5905, happy to help

Actually one roll of drip irrigation for blueberries (tubing) comes in 1,000 foot rolls and the cost is only about $150 per 1,000 foot roll so, you will only need 3 rolls to do one acre, so the cost is only about $450 for the drip irrigation tubing, which is really cheap if you think about it. That one particular blueberry patch is 600 blueberry plants which covers 1/2 acre because with the proper blueberry plant spacing will give you about 1,200 blueberry bushes per acre. This was a small sample pick your own blueberries patch that we had made as just a sample for our customers. We are alway happy to take the time to help out out customers with quesions. Feel free to call us to discuss: (609) 561-5905. Our family blueberry farm helps our customers learn how to fertilize blueberries with different methods, but for home growers we recommend a slow release Osmocote fertilizer for blueberries. You fertilize once a year in the spring, but never fertilize after July. As for how often to take care of watering blueberries you should keep the blueberry soil moist, not soaked.

Yes, there is a 1" pvc line underground that feeds our drip irrigation for blueberries
-
We space our blueberry field rows 9' apart because most commercial blueberry farmers are using impliments that are at least 6' wide, so it would give proper clearance for a 6' foot brush hog, cultivator or other impliment. Spacing blueberry bush rows further apart is not benefical. Of course you can plant the rows closer than 9' feet apart if you are a pick your own blueberry farm or a home grower, or if you are going to use a hand-tiller or even a lawn mower to cut your rows. It all depends.

how do you have your drip lines i see there coming out of the a 90 degree elbow. is there a pvc line underground that feeds your drip lines?

can you add sulfur and peat moss to your soil when planting blueberry plants or should you just use potting soil and peat moss
