The cadence of your editing fits the subjct well - the steady pace and intermezzos of farm life - magnetic.

Never saw that done with a truck. I use the bobcat to install fence and only need one helper.
-
yeah, you can't go cheap with goats. They will tear up any sort of conventional fencing. They are hyperactive and extremely curios about every little nook and cranny. And if you got males or young females, they will go over up to 6 feet of fence. I have seen it. I don't know where they get the power, but somehow they use their head as an anchor and then throw the body over the fence.

Coming up soon! We are expanding this fenced meadow and will show the process of adding a gate in the fence line and using NO Climb woven wire fence... subscribe to make sure you don't miss it. We donated the old woven wire fence and posts to a local farmer.

Yes. I did want to see some chickens!!

finally, an American who can pronounce " emu " properly.
-
awesome fence...really helpful....did you cement the post that hold the gates?
and what is the type wire called again? thanks!! -
how many acres and if you dont mind me asking how much did it end up costing you?

BBRAVO ! ! ! ! !

I put a poast driver on my kabota. It did not last 50 poasts. Thinking i need some moor experienced people. or I need to show them the rope.
-
Ok, Frederick, thanks. I'm searching for those covered systems, and found some really good stuff. :)
-
I just with I owned a post driver like that so I could even install trusses for small buildings and post supports for other things... I am amazed no one has smashed their hand in that...
-
I would be terrible for this job because I would spend 90% of the time smashing crap in the machine at 5:40
-
If you speak with a custom fence installer, I'm sure they will come up with something specialized for your big cats... they seem to have lots of options... even covered systems.
-
... And sorry for the grammar, I'm late lol

Thanks for replying, I understand what you mean by - never heard of fencing a cat' - but my cats are large, great hunters, and capable of doing some big damage: wildlife and neighbour's poultry, etc (although their great with "their own" animals). I'm moving to the real countryside for the firt time, and I don't really need any problems with people.... And yes, cats can be fenced. Thanks for your time.
-
Cats would to right over it... possibly through the upper portions... I never heard of fencing a cat. Goats and Dogs yes...
-
Is this fence ok for the cats as well? My cats are Maine Coon mix, and the dogs are all German Shepherd size (yes, the fence needs to be higher bc cats... right)! Well, will this be safe for the goats, the dogs and the cats? Thx. Cheers.

I meant it looked like you used 2 different kinds of WIRE. One looks to be 2X4" squares but some looks to be 4X4" squares. I just wondered if there was a reason. Also, how tall of a fence do you need to keep chickens in? Thanks,
-
The 2x4 and 4x4 gate framing is on my old crappy fence, as is the larger slack woven wire. The professionally installed fencing is all round posts.. I think they are 16 to 20 feet apart, corners closer. The professionally installed woven wire has better galvanizing and is supported with high tensile runners along with a single strand for electric. I hope that answered your question...
