Behind the scenes tour at Segrest Farms in Gibsonton, Florida part one. If you have bought fish from petstores, especially the big box stores in the USA, they will likely have come through this facility. Segrest Farms is the largest freshwater fish distributor in the world. They allowed us to film behind the scenes at their property in Florida. They ship over a million fish a week. The filtration for over 6500 tanks was amazing! They also stock salt water fish, plants and corals. It was amazing seeing such a variety of fish all under one roof! **COMING SOON!! Life with pets can you put a male betta with male guppies?

Lifewithpets, this isn't about about segrest, but I was wondering, is it considered cycling a tank if you get a filter, put it in a currently active tank, then after 8 weeks, you buy an aquarium, fill it up, and put that filter in it? then, is it already cycled? sorry if this question was a bit complicated...

Wow, how did you get access to have a tour, kinda makes me wonder where my fish came from.... Also i wish they wouldn't support wildcaught fish and feeder fish aswell. Other than that they seem to do a pretty decent job.

SO cool!!!! i wander where my fish are from. Hopefully they are from there. I'm actually going to Florida this month but i will be in Fort Lauderdale so i'll be nowhere near there. :-/ that's really cool though how they let you check their place out and be recorded while talking about everything :-D

I'm sorry,I'm not trying to hate at all. The footage you got was very interesting. But I'm not a fan of overstocked tanks like this. I may be speaking because of PETA videos that I have watched but these tanks are not very well kept.I think its truly amazing that they started out with only 500 dollars and became the biggest in america though:)
